What changes? Why is it a bad thing ect
There are 2 programs VZ is getting rid of completely.

New every 2 credit (a program that month 20-24 you get a $30 to $50 credit)
Annual upgrade (a program that allowed the customer to qualify for promotions on month 13-20)

If you already are eligible for either program you will have 6 months after January 16th 2011 to use it. After January 16th 2011, VZ customers will be eligible for promotional pricing after 20 months on a 2-year contract and 10 months on a 1-year contract.

That is what I am reading on the interwebs...

Nothing has been officially announced by VZW yet. These are all rumors at this point until Big Red confirms or refutes the details.

Ok, my question is if this is true and VZ goes through with it... I signed a 2 year contract only because my primary line would be upgradable each year other wise I would have signed a 1 year contract. So would this still be true to my current contract or not. If not that to me changes my original agreement right???

so then if you want the latest and greatest you need a one year contract? Do you still get the same promotional prices that you get when they say "get ______ for (cheap price) when you sign up for a 2 year contract" do you get the upgrade for the promotional price too?
