    $35 Activation fee?

I just took a look at my first Verizon bill and noticed that they charged me the $35 activation fee. I pre-ordered my Incredible and free activation was indicated on my final receipt.

I just sent them an email and I'm sure they'll handle it - but I wanted to give others a heads up to check your bill!

Good call. I'll double check mine. Didn't see anything about it on the receipt since I went to the store, but will double check nonetheless.

Got an email back and they said that it just takes a couple of billing cycles for the credit to show up. In the meantime, I pay it... so I guess it's all good.

Would have been nice if they told you this instead of just letting you see it on your bill and freak out lol.

Update: Got my first bill and the $35 activation fee was on it. I decided I didn't want to wait til the next bill for a credit so I called Cust. Serv. They credited my bill immediately and adjusted my first bill accordingly.

I ordered my droid inc May 25th and Verizon has a free activation promotion going on until the 31st. Unfortunately due to stock shortages I will not recieve it until after June 16th. Do you guys think they will waive the 35$ fee because technically it is their fault I wont receive it in time...

You can always call VZW up, ask if you will get the free activation since you purchased it during this promotion, and have them notate on your account that will not be charged for it when you get your Incredible, finally !

So...this means that everyone gets charged the $35 activation if you didn't order during this promotion?

Damn..as if the taxes they charge in CA aren't enough...terrible
