I can't wait to get mine!
This is a discussion on Will the Incredible sell out the first day? within the Site Polls forums, part of the IncredibleForum.com category; I can't wait to get mine!...
Yes! - This phone is HOT!
Nope! - Verizon should have plenty
I think the Incredible will sell a lot more units than the Droid. A lot of Droid owners are switching, a lot of iPhone users are switching, a lot of Nexus One users are switching, a lot of Blackberry users are switching, a lot of Windows Mobile users are switching. This phone has gained a lot of popularity and im sure they will go pretty fast on Thursday. The stores selling out all depends how many units they have. If they have like 1000 then obviously they wont sell out first day but i highly doubt they will have 1000 units in.
I have a feeling our Best Buy store will sell out fast.
I have the first pre-order purchase done for this store, so they will be holding one for me. I am sure once I bring it home and friends/family see it, they will all want one too![]()
No way. Just not pushed as much as the moto droid and it didn't sell out. I know for a fact it wont sell out in my neck of the woods. To small of an area for that to happen. Assuming there are no major flaws, I bet it takes off as the public catches wind of it.
Well there has been no advance advertising like the Droid. Hell Best Buy doesn't even have it in their ad this week. The people who know about the DI are on forums, read sites like Phone Dog or Phone Scoop alot, follow tech news, or have heard it from someone who is one of the previous. I'm sure there will be alot of walk-in sales on the 29th. People who went in to buy a Moto Droid or were maybe looking to upgrade to a smartphone but have no idea what the DI is. Sell out?? I highly doubt it.
Local Verizon opened at 9:00. I was there at 9:15. While phone was being loaded (e-mail issues with my cable provider, about 45 minutes), others were in the store getting Incredible, and Sales Rep said only had 12 left. I would guess Verizon planned a "staged" release--first to those following Nexus One/HTC Incredible reviews/blogs, then to those getting information from ads when Verizon starts to promote the Incredible. From what I have read, I though Verizon received a "limited" number of phones--150,000?
