Note to self . Mark you have an app called Seahawks Addicts on your phone and Tab. Start using it so you know what the heck others are talking about.
    Sorry for the thread jack.
S197,I fear Mr Rice will catch the T.O.itis bug once he arrives. It seems that Seattle receivers all develop a knack for dropping passes and become very adept at it. Since the days of the Steve Largent/ Brian Blades combination they haven't had an above average receiving tag team and even then Blades was the weakest link, though no slouch.

    I've been a Seahawks fan since 1976 . I feel the pain.
My concern with Rice is he will just become the next star in the movie "catchless in Seattle" . Even Jerry Rice played in it during his short tenure there.

As A SD Charger Sometimes fan and Old Time Cowboys fan (Tom Landry days), I'm not a Seahogs fan, but The Carrol and Leinert Mix may have me watching a few games... But Time will tell is "Suky in Seattle" is true
We do luv you Douggie P

I'll give Pete one thing, he bought a very good team at USC. Jerry Glanville had very wise words that Pete should heed and found out his first time in the league. "NFL means not for long " . Speaking of that, are the chargers still letting Norv hold them back? I haven't been keeping up with coaching changes after the season ended

As Far as I know Norvy is still in charge, he has done some wonders with the team, I do not believe it is him holding the team back, it is the team holding themselves... The playoff fiasco several years back was the team partying all night long before a big game, and coming in hungover. Coaches responsibility, to a point, but they all highly paid "men", they should know better. I left out the word professionals for a reason there

As the strike is now over, I will begin to follow the team a bit to find more juicy stuff

I wouldn't be too worried. The big thing Rice has going for him is great hands and the ability to catch the football in traffic. He won't burn you in a foot race, but he will outjump and out muscle you for the football. His biggest concern is his health.

As a Seahawks fan you need to be more worried about Bevell. He has to be the most boring, conservative, offensive coordinator I have ever seen. He may have been handcuffed by Childress but it's difficult to say. Say goodbye to playaction and screens. 3rd and long? Draw play 90% of the time. After 3 or 4 games you should be able to call a good portion of his plays from your couch before the snap.
