No, you don't rename the folder, you just place a blank .nomedia file IN the folder and everything in that folder (and all sub-folders) will be hidden from gallery apps and media players, etc. You'll still be able to see the files in a file manager (Astro, Root Explroer, ES, etc.). So you can essentially do it to multiple folders

OK I tried to be lazy and copied the file, added the "." and nothing. The file you had in your dropbox came in as a nomedia.bin file, and did not work, and yes I did reboot after adding the file.
So I went back to each folder and added a file renamed to .nomedia and rebooted, worked great. Yes I could have deleted the .bin but anyway thanks for the word. Now this is on the JellyBean Nexus7, so the other OS's might be okay with your file....

Odd, I thought I took the extension off. You did it the right way, .nomedia with no extension, glad it worked.

How do you remove your phone number from your old Inc?

I did a full restore to unroot and installed GB and updated OTA but phone number still shows in about phone....

Did you activate it? If so your number is on it. I just did a factory reset to my INC2 and without activation there is no number attached, worked great, now to unroot the beast... No easy ways here...

When my phone turned into a hand warmer the other day one of the solutions I tried was a battery and SIM card removal. Some had said before if your phone runs warm do a battery and SIM card removal. I never got around to it before but have noticed my phone running A LOT cooler, even when uploading an 85MB video to Dropbox via LTE earlier today. It maxed at 102 but before would have been 120 or more

I never activated it, just turned it on and number was still in there. I was going to sell it but I wanted to clear the number off it before I did.

Do a factory reset, that's the last thing I did with the INC 2, just shows 000000003400... Maybe a unit number...
