When dealing with contractors the no show doesn't bother me as long as they don't do the no call part along with it.
AC man said he'd be here between 730 and 8. It's after 9 and....., you guessed it..... no show, no call.
A life lesson,I guess, in what I'm studying about let patience have its way and reality is when mine is gone trials give me more for next time so I guess it's a good thing I went through the fiasco with Direct TV or I'd be angrier than I am.
Edit; the man just called and said due to the heat they're running a few hours behind. That I can easily live with, knowing those folks have got it TOUGH right now.

I am totally with you Mark, being one that deals with multiple Contractors / Sub Contractors on a daily, sometimes hourly basis, nothing really pisses me off more that the NO CALL/NO SHOW. As I am a contractor as well, I know that things get hung up on the job site and time gets lost. But I always call to keep others in the loop, they have schedules as well as I do, and I DO NOT HESITATE to call to let my irritation be known, I may have raised my voice and used a choice word once or twice in my life... And the day is young...
