It's one thing getting your TV all screwed by Comcast and Dish... but not have AC for that long, I would be livid too! Next time they come, they better bring 2 units, one to install and one for backup!

I'm spent of the whole fiasco, have been holding off on finishing my dads final accounting, waking during the night to switch fan placement to maximize cooling the house down (out until it gets below 80 , which last night was after midnight, then in until it gets back up to 80 which this morning was just after 5) ,taking Madelyn out and about, etc.
Depending on what I hear Monday I think I'll just assume it's going to be end of next week and get back on my dads stuff at least.

A new unit and it had a bad compressor. That should have been caught during assembly.

That is truly sad for it to come out with a bad compressor. If they try going to the end of the week, heads should roll. Period. I daresay you've been much more patient than most. You've done much better than I (or Mary for that matter) would have.

"made in Mexico" . I checked where it was made as soon as they unboxed it. I commented that at least it wasn't made in China, like that did a lot of good in the end.
It worked for about 5 minutes, started making a gawdawful noise then everything but the fan shut off. no breakers tripped and voltage etc from the house checked out fine. They double and triple checked everything to make sure, talked to the maker on the phone when they were sure it wasn't them, did all the stuff they said to try.
The installers were awesome in how hard they worked, job they did and attitude through the whole thing. I think they felt as bad about it as I did ,honestly, when it went south and they couldn't get us up and running.
On a positive Madelyn and I made the box it came in into a castle with windows, drawbridge and a clock on the front door for her babies to know what time she'll be back from the store when she goes.

So it looks like Verizon was the only carrier to lock the bootloader on the S3. Not happy....

I'm not surprised. If it is anything like the Nexus, it takes less than 30 secs to unlock with a simple adb command.
