Amazon cloud player on ios.
Interesting,imo, that this happens after Jobs death. I doubt he would have allowed it to happen on "his" devices.

That's interesting. I wonder if Google Music is available on iOS too.

Dunno. I got an email from Amazon about their player.
My sister is giddy that she has Google cloud on her Ipad now though.
With the Amazon cloud player you can't purchase anything on ios but nothing says you can't purchase from Amazon website and add it to your cloud player there. The part I found most interesting was the ability to break the chain of iTunes and download from the player

I have a feeling Tim Cook will be changing the direction of Apple some and opening it up. I could be wrong, but I'll be surprised if I am. If he does, he's going to help them grow incrementally. It's a smart move, really.

I love Amazon cloud. I have the $20/yr cloud service and for that you also get unlimited space for Amazon MP3 where you can upload your own music. Google Music is nice and free, but it only allows 20,000 songs. And it often gives me errors with my tracks and won't upload certain ones, so I have albums that I've uploaded that are missing tracks and that really annoys me the most!

I'm getting close to reaching 20,000 songs on Amazon but I'm not worried because it doesn't have the space restrictions as Google Music does. And for $20/yr, it makes for a nice cloud backup for my music collection, and I still have more to upload!
