Oh and if I want all the channels in my new package they want $10 per month per box to be able to do that. In essence they are saying what I'm paying $60 a month now to watch will, starting tomorrow, be $100 to watch because they are encrypting the signal.

They did this with us about 6 months ago. That's when we cancel all Comcast premium service and went with basic cable and Internet. We cancelled our AT&T phone too, that's what our cell is for.

Looks like Direct TV has dropped their extra fee for extra boxes so I'm going to be checking more into that option.

I just got off the phone with Verizon trying to give me free minutes if I extend my contract. I use under 100 of 1400 and they said I might need the extra lol
Anyhoo, the lady read me the last info release they got on unlimited data going away. According to their info we will stay grandfathered until we get a new phone UNDER CONTRACT and it specifically said IF you buy a phone from a second hand source (eBay, Craig list, etc) or pay full retail you WILL remain grandfathered until you buy a phone under contract. The time given for it to start was "soon" and nothing more. She read straight from the info sheet she had that was given to her last week, according to her.

She said ANY phone upgrade. "3g or 4g so if the iphone5 doesn't get LTE there's going to be a bunch of livid sheep". Her words, said she loathes anything Apple, has an LG Lucid.
The biggest thing for me, besides lack of a date, was no information on what the data share plans would look like. She said she is in the same boat as me but 4 phones that uses very little non wifi data whereas I have only 2 so she has more skin in the game.
She initially was pushing for me to upgrade Karens phone to a smartphone but when I told her Karen said no smartphone due to the $30 data, which led to the family share conversation, which eventually led to her offering me extra minutes if I'll extend Karens contract anyway and it wouldn't affect her upgrade date.

I can tell you here and now, the iPhone 5 will have LTE. It will be the same chip as in the new iPad. Or a variation thereof.
