    The wife is off today so I'm surprising her with grilled ribeyes for lunch. It's a beautiful day, weather wise as well

    Most any day spent with a loved one is beautiful, especially when combined with a ribeye.
    We are enduring sun and 70 degree weather, not bad for another 3 day weekend.

    I went to the local grocery store to grab something to grill and the man was marking down all their 1 1/4" thick cut Angus ribeyes to half price since they go out of date tomorrow, meaning they've aged an additional week since cutting. I cooked them on Tulip Poplar wood for added sweetness with the smoke. I grilled some chicken cutlets as well for Tia, the oldest daughter. She usually smothers everything in sauces and condiments but ate hers plain, a very high compliment imo.
