We have warm sunshine and no more frost warnings at night after last night.
Finally I got the garden got planted this morning. My strawberry plants are already putting off strawberries, have over a dozen green ones and a ton of flowers on them. The frost Thursday night didn't hurt them a bit!

78, that's what my pool has to be for me to go in, thank God for solar heating, pools got a solar blanket on it now...
Heck at 45 we're getting out the Arctic wear, and winterizing the house, storm windows up and waxing the skis;-)

Solar blanket on a rainy day. That sounds like a government invention. Our local federally mandated and paid for by stimulus dollars city storm alert sirens are solar and had no battery backup. They couldn't figure out why they weren't going off at night and while it was raining. Honestly. They brought in state and federal experts who couldn't find anything wrong but were testing them during the day. This went on for months until a city employee read a post on Facebook by me, cough cough oops I mean a local citizen, calling them moronic for not being able to figure out solar works by using sunlight and a battery would be a good idea while ranting about my,err I mean their, tax dollars being wasted. They now have batteries to store the energy and wow they work on cloudy days and at night to alert the citizens the NWS or EBS has issued an alert.

Government workers typically are the idiots that can't get or keep a job in the private sector, we have our share of ID10T's here as well. That is a funny story though. Kind of like the story of the big rig truck carrying an oversized load that got stuck under a bridge. The engineering crew spent hours trying to figure what size crane to get to lift the bridge off and how to cut or loosen the ends of the bridge.... Then a kid waiting in traffic with his mom or dad asks "why don't they let the air out of the tires"...
Problem solved....
