Apple to DI
Hey All,
Just thought I'd say hi. I was a first gen iPhone adopter and had the 3GS but sadly for me I moved to Wichita, KS. The area where I live has absolutely horrible signal from AT&T. Missing (as in not ringing) 50-60% of the time. Needless to say totally unacceptable so switching to Verizon. I ordered a DI from them not sure when I'll get it though. I will defiantly miss my iPhone but am looking forward to the switch to the DI. Have a good one.

I think you'll be very happy with the Incredible. It will be a little learning curve but not bad. Overall, you should be happy with it. If nothing else, congratulations on making it to a provider that actually has a signal.

Welcome to the Android nation and to the Incredible forum!

So one question I do have with the Andriod OS is what is this difference I keep hearing about in apps? Root vs something else?

native = the phone as Android intended
rooting = modifying the operating system so you have complete control (can delete native apps that otherwise you would not be able to delete, etc)
think of it as 'jailbreaking' for the D-Inc.

I used to own a 3GS before, trust me you will not miss the iPhone (at least I don't)
. Might take a bit to get used to a new OS but once you do you will love Android especially on the DInc.
