Found myself here shortly after I purchased the Inc and havent been able to pull myself away. No idea about rooting til I came here. Then I was content for a bit then came back and found out different roms. (Thanks again) Was good for a bit more, then came back and figured out kernels. Only thing I havent done yet was turn s-off and update my radio. Not sure really what im looking at or what the pro's vs. con's are. I'll keep looking around but if there is a post already about how to do it and what it is a link would be grateful considering I havent found it yet.

dp did created a thread for how to on radio versions. Can't really help with the pros and cons part though sry... All I know is some roms require a certain radio version (like redemption needs XXX.XX.07.28).

If you just bought your phone there's no need to update your radio. Most ROMs now include a compatible kernel so there's not much to worry about at all.

Good to know was just making sure before I went through the trouble of turning S-off and trying to update the radio. I'll wait for a bit and read up on it some more.

Just FYI.... If you rooted with Unrevoked then you already have S-off
