Incoming txt alert can b heard when im on the phone.

Hello I was wondering if someone can help me plz!!?????? I need to know how to stop my phone from a incoming txt viberating alert when im on the phone? Who im talking to can hear it and they say it sounds like a duck!!!! lol!!!

If your using chomp go into chomp> menu button> notification. Then theres an option for the notification to go off while you have a phone call. Change that and you'll be golden

there is a similar setting in Handscent also. In the notifications setting.

I've been having the same issue and it's driving me crazy.

I don't have chomp or Handscent. Is there a way to disable this otherwise.

I looked and there doesn't seem to be a similar setting in the stock messaging app. The way I see it you have two options if you're using the stock app. Turn off vibrate, of course this disables it all together for messaging, or turn off all notifications from the stock app and get a third party app like GoSMS or HandCent. I've heard good things about both. When I had 2.2 though I couldn't use Go for some reason. My wife could, but I couldn't. It must not have liked my Inc build or something.
