htc screen of death, can't mount /sdcard in hboot

Hello. I need help with a droid incredible. Can boot into hboot, but that's it. htc white screen of death on normal boot. If I try to go into recovery or bootloader, I get the red triangle with exclamation point and running code says can't mount /sdcard.....etc...... seen this problem on other sites and some have been fixed but I can't seem to get mine to work. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What are you trying in order to wake up the screen? Doesn't the Power button do the job?

I took my SD card out of my old phone (Eris) put it in my incredible and it gives me the option to unmount and reads how much space is avail and used on it, but when I try to pull up my music or photos or ringtones, i get a msg saying android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly, I have tried a whole diff SD card and still get the same msg! HELP! I loved this phone till this happened and I really don't wanna hate it! Is there a fix? Plz say yes! Lol
