Welcome to the forums. The Incredible wont be available until the 29th but Happy Early Birthday and you will love the Incredible. If you have any questions about Android or the Incredible feel free to ask in the appropriate section and we will be glad to help.

Welcome to the Forums jrbaker8. You will love Android and Sense. It is a bit different than the iPhone and Android doesn't have as many apps but its on a way better network. So which are you more excited about your Wife being there when you get off the plane or the Incredible? lol...
(No pun intended just a joke)

I joined a couple of days ago. I had been waiting for the Nexus One to be released through Verizon. My wife has an account with Verizon and she was eligible for a new phone in Feb. I am doing the research for her and advised her to wait for the Nexus One. With the announcement on Thursday it appears the incredible is Verizon's answer to the Nexus One. With only a few exceptions, it appears to be a Nexus One clone. I have a few questions and will post them in one of the Forums.

Reader comprehension probably

. Does it have to be defective? Since I'm within 30 days of new service & the Incredible is supposedly $199 with the 2year agreement, which is the same as my Droid, would I be able to upgrade with minimum hassle? I ordered service and my device from the Verizon online store. Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Yes you should be able to exchange within the 30 days without too much hassle. You just pay (or get a refund) for the difference of the phone. If the phones are the same price you should be able to swap it out pretty easily. So anyway, I came over from DF. I had a Droid for about 3 months and while it is a very versatile phone and has a lot of dev support, I find that the DI runs SOOOOOOO much smoother than the Droid running any rom or overclocked to any speed. I love my DI.

Just got my first droid phone and decided to join as many forums as possible to get the "skinny" on things. Coming over from the BB world (Storm) and have noticed a few things that I don't like at first (might say different in a week LOL). Brightness doesn't seem as good outside as the storm and the ringer (or notifications) are not near as loud. This wouldn't be an issue but if you are in an industrial setting with noise the weak volume tends to be a problem... Still tinkering so this is "probably" a user issue (as usual)... so far - LOVE the phone!
