Just starting my introduction thread to be a good member. I've been using Linux for over 15 years on computers, but have waited until last Sunday to make the dive into Linux on a phone. I'm really excited about the FREEDOM to load applications onto my phone without having to adhere to someone else's (Steve Jobs) standards. I look forward to getting root!

Welcome to the Forums. You will love the Android OS. Being a Linux user rooting your phone should be very easy for you but it DOES void the warranty so be careful of that.
