Mine will be here tomorrow. I got worried about the end of the unlimited plan and called Verizon. They told me not to worry they wasn't ditching the unlimited plan. So take it for what its worth.o

Plus, if you're locked into that 2 year contract, they really can't do anything about it until it's up
I got a new thunderbolt yesterday. I had an Inc which had the inside screen shattered which was replaced by insurance with a droidx that I was less than happy about. Long story short I found someone who traded me even my droidx for a tbolt.

Yup. But I think if the unlimited data feature is on the account... you may be able to keep it on the account even when you change to a new 4g phone. (Even if it goes to a tiered type of setup down the line) Since the ESN/MEID of the phones matches the existing feature set. They would have to change the way the 4g phones feature set works in the system to make it kick you off of the unlimited feature set with a new 4g phone. It wouldn't be that hard to implement. But then the new feature set would have to conflict with the old ones, which would then make the old 4g phones NOT compatible with the new 4g plan/feature set. This is going to cause a lot of grief for people switching phones from line to line after the date of "the change to tiered data". I don't see that happening in the near future because of that. Unless I'm thinking about it wrong. But typically it's the price plan that is designed to conflict with newer MEID's to kick you off the plan to get a new one (when buying a new phone) and not a feature derived conflict. So basically they'd have to change the way these types of things have always been handled from a system and internal level to really implement something like that. It could already be in the pipe for all I'd know. But I don't see it coming in the immediate future.
I got my TB 2 days ago. It rocks.
