Theme Question
Just downloaded the Froyo clear theme I saw on another post here at this site. My phone is rooted using Unrevoked 3. I have not flashed any rom's. My question is can I add this theme to the current rom? Is there a link anywhere that tells people which rom will go with which theme?
Thanks,
Travis

More than likely, you cannot flash a theme over the stock ROM, the stock ROM is not deodexed and will probably cause problems. You would be better off installing a ROM then flashing a theme. Make sure you do a nandroid backup of your current ROM in case you ever want to return to it.
Usually the theme creator will post which ROM their theme is for in the 1st post of the theme and most are not interchangeable.

Just flash a different ROM. And then use a theme.

how do you go back to what you had before if you dont like the theme?
-
Flash a backup that you did before applying the theme.

So I take it that everytime someone applies a rom they do a back up so if that particular rom, kernel, theme doesn't work it is easy to revert back. I am assuming that as one applies new roms that the klist to back up becomes long so they have multiple choices to choose from when the need to restore something correct?

YOu really only have to do one backup to revert back to if something goes wrong when flashing something new. There is no point of making a backup every time you want to test something out because you would be backing up the same thing you see? Personally I have only 3 ROMS in which I keep a permanent backup so if I want to use that ROM for a few days its an easy restore. And yes, depending on how many backups an individual wants, the list can get quite long but you can edit the name of the backup before the actual process begins so I usually put a date in there so as to know which is the most recent. Hope this helps.

yes it does thanks for the help. I figured that as people played with roms it gets quiote cumbersome to always fix there set-up so the use or need for multiple back ups is up to the person. A long list is not beneficial
