I cant send any text messages

hi guys!
i cant send text messages from my phone(htc incredible s) ...anyone how to solve this problem?I CAN RECEIVE MESSAGES BUT CANT SEND PLZ HELP ME OUT

Try adding the area code without the 1 in the front. I have a Merge, and just came from US Cellular. That is what was happening to me.

Can you please state whether or not you are rooted and what text app you are trying to use?
Also does it just sit there or are you getting an error message? If error message what does it say ?
Are the texts replies to incoming or are you initiating? Just trying to pin down is it a phone,a user or a Verizon problem to suggest solutions

I had the same problem in Incredible 2 and was stuck for four days. The solution was simple. Switch off assisted dialling and restart. You are in business.

What I found was that I was able to sms without any prefix, but not with one. I downloaded handcent and installed it since allowed me to edit the target number. But this morning I supplier gave me the cure. Itworked.

I had the same problem, then took it to repair, so I still don't know how to solve it.

same problem goes to me. cant send sms, also cant open the inbox but can receive it,can use other application can call, but only problem send or open text messages.. i never root my incredble S.. so to solve it?? help me.
