Please help. Sometimes my screen goes black.

So here's the story. This isn't actually my phone, this belongs to my mom. she dropped it about a week ago and after that the screen goes black but she can actually use it to take incoming calls. and sometimes she can make the screen work. i dont know how she do it. she said that if the phone is used for about 5 mins after the screen worked it will be back to display black screen. so if the screen works (sometimes) it means that the LCD and Touchscreen wouldn't have to be replaced and something inside would just have to be tightened. Advices are welcome. please help.

About a week ago, HTC released the ICS update, that has a similar bug / behavior (i've described it at the end of my post in that link)...
Are you sure your problem is because of the phone drop and not because of the update?

thanks for the reply sir. yes i am sure that it was caused by the drop. well because my mom didn't even know how to update the phone. LOL.
