my phone is acting up

my phone has been actng glitchy the past few weeks,touch screen wont respond,random calling,now as of yesterday my voice is muffled for my callers,can barely make out what im saying.i have looked for volume settings,finding none for outgoing.i have taken the battery out numerous times,this does help the non-responsie touch screen,although not the almost muted sound. my phone has not gotten wet,my battery sticker has crisp red crosses, although the inside back cover hasan almost yellow/rusty strip in the bottom and i cant recall if it was always like that or not,unable to find images of inside back cover for comparasen, now,with saying it hasnt gotten wet,i have not droppedit in water but we have had alot of rain,humidity and now a heat wave which causes me to sweat on my phone....this has not affected my incoming volume,aka,its hard to avoid sweating on that part,just being honest.can someone help me?thanks
