IncROM awesomeness

So i flashed IncROM 1.0 today... and it's about 100x cooler than skyraider 3.5 with sense.

so much so, in fact, that i decided to make some changes as i can see long term usage of this ROM

I've completed the following in the couple hours that i've had the ROM up and running:

-A custom splash screen (instead of the original white "HTC Incredible" splash screen)
-A custom boot sound (a 17 second clip of Ram Jam's "Black Betty") to accompany the IncROM's stock boot animation

The only beefs i have with IncROM are that the app tray and some of the window transitions are laggy

but the notification tray and buttons are amazing! (aside from that fact that the transparency causes minor issues)

and i plan to complete the following as time permits with school starting back up:

-Possibly install launcher pro
-Possibly a new Kernel depending on the battery life with the stock one
-Totally custom boot animation created by yours truly

i'll post some screenies here as well as battery life specs tomorrow at the end of the day because it will most likely get some heavy usage seeing that i'll be back in school.

hmm i'll look into redemption.

unfortunately, this ROM appears to need a custom Kernel. i turned the phone on around 7am and it's now mid-day and the phone has %50 charge left.

i just like the way the screen transitions look and the translucent notification bar. if Redemption ROM does it better, PLEASE let me know!

*edit: just installed the "Heyitslou #6" Kernel (the 3-10 multi-touch support one) and have already noticed things running smoother. it seems i've found a good combo

I just loaded the inc Rom and went with a faithful hydra kernel #2 both are working very well together loving this combo and the incrom. Gonna change the splash screen next I believe

Incrom 1.4 is the best looking ROM that I have seen
yet, but I can't get it to stay functional for more than a few minutes before it goes into a reboot loop.

I'm not exactly sure why that should happen, I'm running incROM v1.4 right now and it is by far smoother and more efficient than any other version.

Things that might have gone wrong:
-didnt wipe dalvic cache, etc.
-Clockworkmod v3.0.0.5 has issues as of now... it was suggested to stick with v2.5.1.2

what kernel are you using?
and did you just try and flashover from a different version of incROM?
