SR Vanilla 3 RC3 & Sync Frequency

Yesterday, I just rooted my DInc with Skyraider Vanilla 3 RC3. Just as everyone said, it wasn't as scary or eventful as it seemed. I'd like to thank all of you for your hard work and detailed explanations.

I do have a question, though. I'm trying to see if I can set the Update Frequency for the Google Apps to be every 3 hours or longer. In Settings --> Accounts & Sync --> Google, there's no option to change the frequency of updates. I can either turn off/on the auto-sync, but not change the frequency. On the "Weather" account, I'm able to change the update frequency through the "Account settings" option.

Any thoughts?

I think when you're using Google for mail, it is always push. Now, you might be able to set it up on the HTC mail program using your GMail address and use that as your primary email program and set the frequency there. Pretty sure that will work.

That is the only way to set up gmail on a schedule. OR you can uncheck the auto-sync feature and retrieve gmail manually by opening the app and tapping menu>refresh. That way you get your mail when you want it.

Yeah i ended up doing a manual sync. I'm not that tied to my e-mails anyway so a manual sync works fine for me. Thanks!
