cyanogenmod7 RC2, freezing and reseting
hello, i'm on the newest nightly for cm7, the release candidate update-cm-7.2.0-RC2-inc-signed.zip.
i have the 3/21 incredikernel, btw.
i've been having these resetting problems lately. something will happen on the phone,
it'll freeze, and then reset. i'll let it restart, and it'll actually get through the process of starting up and it'll be on my homescreen, and almost ready, almost working. then, i'll walk away and then notice that it has started the process all over again! is that a bootloop? anyways, i wonder if this rom is not having a problem with widget locker or milocker. or if anyone else is having these resetting problems...
thanks!

It might be the build. Have you tried restoring from backup?
-
i haven't, only because I encountered similar problems with my backups. nothing as extreme, but still persistent. Could it be that I have my phone overclocked? i set the max cpu at like... 1113 or something like that. would that affect things? also, should i go back to the ONdemand governor? i was using the smartas governors, would those mess things up?
At a certain point yesterday, I was able to interact w/ my phone, except through the lockscreen. If i got a text, i could do things with it, or get into my homescreen, but i just couldn't unlock my phone w/ the lockscreen, etc. ]
thanks!

The Inc is not meant to run at 1113, you're really stretching it with the overclocking, so yes, it could be the culprit of your freezing problem. Take it back to stock speed.

thanks! also, the min cpu speed was at 128, so i moved it back to 245. maybe that did it, too.
QUESTION, this also has been driving me crazy. Sometimes the DIALER is not working. I will click call, and it will not dial. this happened on my stock incredible, and now it's happening now. i use dialer ex, so i will try the stock dialer. i'm just not a fan of the looks of the stock dialer.
any ideas, besides Dialer ex being the culprit? could it have been the low/high cpu speed thing, too?

When you're messing around with CPU speed, funny things can happen.
