Loosing connection with SIM card

Hi Rescue team :-)

My new HTC Incredible S looses the connection to the SIM card. It goes down something like this:
1) I turn on the phone
2) Enter PIN.
3) After PIN is given, the phone looks almost normal. A bit slow, and some of the widgets won't load.
4) If I rapidly try to make a phonecall, I will succeed.
5 )Then it looses contact to the SIM card, and I have to press the PIN again.
.. and repeat from 3).

I have tried changeing the SIM card - no improvement. I have tried my own SIM card in another phone - works perfect. So I think there's something wrong with the phone somehow.

Rooted? no.
Band: 20.23.30.0802U_38.02.01.11_M

by the way... I'm not a software-expert, so please explain solutions so that anyone would understand :-)

Sounds like it is a hardware problem there. If your phone is still under warranty, I suggest taking it to Verizon.

I have discovered that the connection-loss only has to do with SMS-messages. I can receive and make phone calls without problem, but as soon as I try to text someone, or I receive a SMS, the phone crashes as descriped above. I don't hope its a hardeware error. Any suggestions?

Try another SD card. If the problem persists then it's probably something else hardware related.
