shuts off and vibrates 5 times green light flashes

Im having the exact same issue, as long as the USB is plugged in I can get into recovery, boot and run the phone but USB storage is disabled, wife, or my service will not work. but if USB is not plugged in i get black screen with 5 vibrations. also i can load PB31IMG from HBOOT, so my phone seems to recognize the SD card from HBOOT but not after that. has anyone figured out a solution for this issue?

Hi every one I have the same thing going on but I cant do anything with my phone so I hope it is covered by the warranty cause my phone is just a week old and really dont have the to pay for a new one. Or dose any one know how to fix them yet?

If your phone's not functional, bring it to Verizon for an exchange.

Ok will they do that at a store even if I got sent to me? And will give me a new one or a refer?

You can try calling them instead. They should overnight a phone to you but in light of the holiday you probably won't get it until Monday or Tuesday. If it's a brand new phone you should get a new one rather than a refurbished unit.

i just called verizon for my phone and they sent me a new one the next day. all they wanted me to do is a factory reset and since that didnt solve the problem they sent me a new one for free, covered by warranty.

I'm having the same issue, except that the phone won't mount the SD card, so I can't flash anything. Has anyone found a solution???
