Constantly rebooting
Hi everyone,
My daughter's Inc has started randomly rebooting. It will boot into Sense, but as soon as you unlock it and try and do anything with the phone, it will reboot. Factory reset (soft and hard) has been done, SD card removed, Clear Storage done as well.
Is there any way to reinstall the firmware from scratch through recovery, or is that not even worth trying ?
Thanks in advance...

I have also started having the same issue. Had phone since release day of first DINC and this is first real problem with it. Not rooted (and have never done that update that requires so much work to receive), no recent new apps, nothing I can come up with. Have not done hard reset as don't want the hassle if I can help it. Used to be a rare thing but now phone reboots after every single time I exit out of anything that uses any kind of internet access. It is getting to be quite disruptive. Any suggestions from anyone? Thanks.

Have you tried removing the battery and cleaning the contacts of the phone and battery with a pencil eraser ?
It sounds like a voltage issue and the phone is rebooting as a safety protocol when the voltage gets too far out of range, especially if before it started there was a significant drop in time needed between charges .
Also while it's off look for any signs of swelling and if it has at all replace it asap.

Thanks mountainbikermark. It looks like cleaning the battery contacts has worked so far. I have not had a reboot since I did this , and had had about 7 this morning before I tried your suggestion. Love my DINC and not ready to get a new phone so very grateful. Will update this thread if problem recurs.

It doesn't take much crud build up at all to throw off the voltage enough to cause the problem. My wife's Dodge van is just as bad. Just a little crud build up and it won't start, like it has no battery dead, clean the terminals and it starts fine

My HTC inc always reboots not so randomly while it charges overnight. It has been waking me up for the past two nights around the same time with its rebooting. I take the battery out and then put it back in and that will stop it until the next night. When I charge it during the day all the way it doesn't do it. The reboot always happens at night. Is my battery bad? What can I do to stop the reboot altogether?
