    power button again

    Is there a way to bypass the power button without having to remove and reinstall the battery? I might have read this somewhere that you could somehow get another button to use for power on.

    Are you willing to root it? There is a mod for rooted phones that allows you to use the trackpad button to awaken the device.

    What version OS are you running? Android 2.2 (Froyo) or did you get the update to 2.3 (Gingerbread)?
