Got a refurbished Incredible
I wanted to see if there were any fixes for this.
Best Buy swapped out my Incredible for a refurbished one, with a SLCD screen. I seem to be having some screen response issues on the top part of the touchscreen.
For instance: I would try to go to the Android Market and search for an app to download. The screen won't respond to me trying to select the search icon in the top right corner of the screen. When I try to install a new app, the screen won't respond to my attempts to touch the "install" option.
Other times, options within this region of the screen decide to respond without any sort of user input whatsoever, say, in the middle of a text, or scrolling down on a window, and usually opens up menus unintentionally as a result.
When the screen makes unintentional output, the entire phone ceases to respond until I lock it and unlock it again.
I'm running:
Android 2.3.4 - Verizon's OTA
Stock (not rooted)
Baseband: 2.15.10.07.07
Kernel: 2.6.35.13-g03246aa
htc-kernel@and18-2 #1
P.S.: I already tried a factory reset with no favorable results.
