Having problem rooting with Mac
I am trying to root my stock incredible 2.2 using unrevoked3 for Mac OS, I have a MacBook running snow leopard 10.6.7 and dont have dropbox, doubletwist, or htc sync installed. When I start up unrevoked3 it stays on the "waiting for device" screen.
Things I have tried:
Connecting the phone, then starting unrevoked3.
Starting unrevoked3, then connecting the phone.
Made sure charge only was selected.
Made sure debugging was enabled.
Enabled unknown sources.
Setting as disk drive instead of charge only.
Made sure I dont have dropbox, doubletwist, or sync installed.
After trying for a day now, I have searched for a solution and cant get anywhere with it. Does anyone know what the problem is

I have seen several cases where people are not able to root that are running Snow Leopard, and I can't really explain why except maybe Unvoked is not all compatible with that OS version perhaps. Do you have access to a PC to try rooting with it instead?
-
I have a PC but not sure that i'm comfortable rooting with it, I never use it and it's running xp.

Follow our tutorial for rooting, http://www.incredibleforum.com/forum...ed-3-32-a.html, and you should be fine with it. It will work for Windows XP and you'll be more successful rooting on it than on a Mac.

Followed the tutorial, everything work just as the tutorial said it should until I start unrevoked3, nothing happens. It just says waiting for device.

Did you install the drivers properly?
-
Yeah, the drivers are installed right according to the guide. I dont know what could be wrong, I think i'm just going to let it be. Two computers and operating systems and no luck, I think it could be a sign I shouldn't do it lol

And of course as I was saying that, tried it one more time and it worked!

Yes, sometimes, it does take more than one tries. Glad it's working for you!
