Please stop creating new threads of your problem because then we forget and lose track of what your problems are! Just reply to the same thread you've created.

This is beyond me at this point. Going to see if Doug can help here. Hang tight and don't create any new threads.

Run "fastboot devices" let me know the output. Wanna make sure it is even seeing the device.

And your running the wrong command. Do not try to replace the boot.img
    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery /path/to/<recovery>.img
    fastboot reboot
The reboot option is of course only for if it takes.

    Excellent fastboot guide http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Fastboot

Good news and bad news. I got to run fastboot commands to the phone but i flashed the recovery partition with stock and CWM 3.0.0.5 and 3.0.0.8
    No good :/
Seems like i have to erase every partition and format everything. the ram space; i mean everything. i have to treat this like the company sent me a blank phone and i have to put everything on it.

I hope I am not usurping this thread with unrelated information. As far as I understand the situation is similar and I hope my findings can help.

I have a similar issue but maybe not as bad yet.
Fastboot works for me. I used the [fastboot getvar all] and got the following information:
    (bootloader) version: 0.5
    (bootloader) version-bootloader: 0.77.0000
    (bootloader) version-baseband: 1.00.03.04.06
    (bootloader) version-cpld: None
    (bootloader) version-microp: 0417
    (bootloader) version-main: 1.22.605.0
    (bootloader) product: incrediblec
    (bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8x50
    (bootloader) modelid: PB3120000
    (bootloader) cidnum: 11111111
    (bootloader) battery-status: good
    (bootloader) battery-voltage: 3927mV
    (bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
    (bootloader) security: off
    (bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
    (bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
    (bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-0b2c9cfa
    (bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11

I proceeded to try a flash or erase command and my result is as follows:
    FAILED (remote: not allowed)
    finished. total time: 0.000s

From what I can see the Security is Off and the flash should be working. It is hard to use the phone since the screen is black all the time. Everything else works. I can boot into the OS and even answer calls but I am stuck on my attempt to reverting back to the stock rom. I downloaded the build-3.26.605.1-release-152016-baseband-2.15.00.07.28-hboot-0.92.0000_PB31IMG.zip and unpacked it and attempted to flash the img files inside the zip file. I won't have access to the SDCard with an external reader for another two days. I was hoping to be able to gain access to the SDCard using the phone and uploading the full zip file onto the SDCARD.

Things I have figured out so far for those who would like to know. It is possible to run a PB31IMG.zip on the sdcard with a black screen as long as HBOOT still boots up. The sequence is very important to remember. It helps to refer to the following image:

Running the PB31IMG.zip on the SDCard (This whole procedure requires a lot of battery!!!!!) (YOUR SD CARD HAS TO BE FORMATTED FAT32!!!):
    1) Unplug the phone (USB Cord) and take out the battery.
    2) Insert the battery again, after waiting for several seconds.
    3) Hold the DOWN VOLUME button and keep holding.
    4) Press and hold the Power button for 4 seconds and then release, while still pressing the VOLUME DOWN button.
    5) Release the VOLUME DOWN button.
    6) The phone might already be in HBOOT at this point but you need to wait for HBOOT to scan the SDCARD. I allow at least 30 seconds here.
    7) Press the VOLUME UP button to indicate the YES on the request to continue the update.
    8) Wait at least 10 minutes for the flashing to occur. For safety sake give it 15 minutes.
    9) Press the VOLUME UP to accept the question if you want to reboot the device.
    10) The phone should restart and hopefully work correctly as long as the PB31IMG.zip was the right one for you.

Doug thanks for all of the work so far and I believe, for the HTC Incredible, this is the correct PB31IMG.zip that should be used:
    http://go.redirectingat.com/?id=1629...ng-else-6.html

For Fastboot commands there is a difference between HBOOT and FASTBOOT mode on the phone. I believe there are special commands for HBOOT mode but I don't know any of them.
I found this link very useful in getting the drivers loaded on the computer: Universal Windows USB Drivers (ADB, BootLoader, Disk Drive, HTC Sync) - Android Forums

To Enter just HBOOT, with a black screen, you might have to remove the SDCARD, if you don't know if you have a PB31IMG.zip file on the SDCARD. Since the sequence of key presses become tricky. I believe if you press DOWN VOLUME once you enter HBOOT it will skip the update and return you to the menu that is indicated in the image above. Without the SDCARD you will enter the menu above. To enter the HBOOT follow these steps (similar to previous steps):
    1) Unplug the phone (USB cable) and take out the battery.
    2) Insert the battery again, after waiting for several seconds.
    3) Insert the USB cable at this point.
    4) Hold down the DOWN VOLUME button.
    5) Press and hold the Power button for 4 seconds and then release, while still pressing the VOLUME DOWN button.
    6) Release the VOLUME DOWN button.
    6) The phone might already be in HBOOT at this point, but it might be best to wait for HBOOT. I allow at least 30 seconds here.
    7) Your computer should be registering the device and you will need the drivers in the link above to continue.

At this point you are in the HBOOT mode. fastboot commands appear to work but not entirely. You need to enter the FASTBOOT mode to do so. To enter the FASTBOOT mode you will need to follow the 7 steps above and then, fortunately, the default selection according to the image above is FASTBOOT. So just press the power button and you should enter FASTBOOT mode. You will know that things are working because your computer will disconnect the HTC Incredible BootLoader and then reconnect it. If it is your first time in FASTBOOT you might have to specify the location of the drivers again.

In HBOOT mode fastboot flash commands give FAILED (status malformed (1 bytes)) errors.
In FASTBOOT mode I am stuck because here is where I get the remote: not allowed error.

I have also tried using the menu above to enter the recovery option but nothing really happens. The Android device disappears in the device manager and a usb mass storage device gets added but no drive. I have no idea whats actually happening on the device side since I have a black screen.

I hope someone can shed some light and at the same time I hope my discoveries so far can help someone else.

    Jeff
