problems rooting...
This post comes after a night spent freaking out that I had bricked my phone.
I was trying to install Albinoman's Jelly Bean ROM last night, and I ran into some problems. I had read somewhere that since I was using an Incredible (original) on 2.3.4 (i.e. the one with the low on space bug), that I should use unrevoked 3.22, not the latest version. So I did that, it went through fine (i.e. no error messages from unrevoked), until it tried to boot into recovery, and came up with the black screen with the white lines around. I found out that yes, there is a screen beneath there, but I just needed to run ddms's screen capture to see what was underneath it. Just to check, I rebooted to check if Superuser Permissions had been installed, which it was. So I rebooted into ClockworkMod, moved the ROM over, and tried to flash the ROM. I waited about 10-15 minutes, and the progress bar had nothing in it, still. Now I imagine that this next step was my downfall—pulling the battery. I pulled, tried to reboot, and it got stuck on the splash screen. Now after 4 hours of freaking out, I was able to reflash to stock. Now my big question is: would it be at all possible to try to root and reflash that ROM again? And if so, what should I do this time that will make it happen correctly?

I found out also that another problem is that unrevoked did not switch my phone to s-off. Does that further screw me, or is there hope?
