"We are taking this action against Apple to protect our intellectual property, our industry partners, and most importantly our customers that use HTC phones." </td> </tr> </tbody></table>
Apple made noise last month when it first filed papers against HTC suing for infringement of over 20 patents.

Fight fire with fire, I like it!

It is not uncommon for mobile competitors to sue each other, so this comes as no surprise.
I wonder how long they'll be tied up in court before the reach an outside settlement?
-
Wow, it's amazing how everyone wants to rip each other's head off! Oh well- power Apple is really a hard competition to beat. But it's business right there, protect those patents! If anyone of you have been to Qualcomm in San Diego, you'd see their patents displayed all over the place!

Good, Im glad to see HTC striking back. Apple just wants to be the head of the smartphone industry and if they are trying to stop people from creating close competition products, cell phone technology will come to a screeching halt until Apple gets a new bright idea and decides to put it on an iPhone. They are afraid of HTC taking what Apple has already made a good thing, and making it better. Competition only helps advance technology

After review of the tape, the decision on the field stands: Offsetting penalties, replay the down. Please put 18 seconds back on the clock.

I also agree, I'm glad they are fighting back. Apple shouldn't bully anyone.
