No problem, just wanted everyone to understand how the process usually went. These updates take up a huge amount of bandwidth and would blow the servers if they tried sending them all at once. Also, with a bracketed release, if anything goes wrong with the installs or starts to go sideways, its easier to change and fix a smaller group than everyone.

That makes perfect sense. I recently switched back to VZW from ATT and my friends that are still on ATT say that VZW, with all the android phones, are gonna have the same problem ATT did with the IPhone boom. I dont think so.

I think Verizon has a little sturdier infrastructure in place than AT&T did with the influx of iPhones. Basically, Verizon was getting prepped for this growth for awhile to make sure they didn't have the same problems. Hope I'm right.

Me too because I was so frustrated with ATT's crappy service. The Iphone is good but what good is it when the service totally blows. Since Ive been on VZW (2 months) I havent had one dropped call yet and the data is fast! This update is just going to make everything so much better.

JK, I think we need a new sticky that's exclusively for people that got the OTA, this one could be called, "Initial thoughts, worries, and exaltation prior to the OTA"

My bad for Hijacking the thread..

I am told it means Security Off. Basically will allow us that have rooted and downgraded to be able to root again once we install the OTA. If I am wrong someone please correct me on that lol.

If you go to the Verizon site and look at the details of The DInc they now show it as coming with 2.2... I did get a laugh at someone there not knowing how to spell 'Sense'
FEATURES - OS: Android 2.2, Google Experience Device
- Integrated Google, Exchange & Facebook contacts
- User Interface – HTC Sence 1.6
