Rumor: Droid 1, Droid Incredible, and Droid X to receive 2.2 update, starting on 8/6

I know, I know, not this again, not another rumored date! But I felt it important enough to relay to you. According to AndroidSpin, Verizon's three major Android phones will all be receiving the 2.2 update, beginning on August 6th. The tipster continues, that by August 15th, all Droid X's, Incredibles, and Droid 1s should have FroYo. Now, I know that original July 13th date has come and gone, and many of you may be skeptical about any more rumors. But AndroidSpin's tipster believe these dates to be confirmed, and not a rumor. But considering the Droid 1 and Droid X should receive 2.2 sometime in August, I guess this scenario is not completely out of the question.
Either way, wouldn't it be nice for the three Verizon flagship Android phones to receive their updates in the same week? I mean, it would make for some great PR, and Verizon as you may know, enjoys that. But my question, this sort of continuous and large-scale update could overload Verizon's servers, no? This all sounds like a rather ambitious pipe dream to me, but I guess we'll have to wait and see by August 6th.

August 6th or 8th? The body of the article uses both dates.
-
8th was probably a typo, as they mention it beginning on Friday, and Friday is the 6th. Doesn't matter, even if it does start on the 6th, it'll still be going on the 8th, and the 10th, and the 15th... it's going to be forever before this push is completed. That's a LOT of phones to update.
Does anyone have any idea what criteria they use to determine a particular phone's order in the queue?

Not to mention, I believe this is going to be a pretty fair sized download for the phones, which will eat up some data to say the least.

Time will tell. But looking at the calander I could not help but notice August has a Friday the 13th. Cool. Maybe Jason will force a OTA for us by then. LOL

Ota update !!!!
Hello fellow droid lovers this your Tipster as they call me ,the information I released was confirmed to me by a fellow employee at a headquarters location. I work for Verizon and wanted to know the update release info I researched and researched then I spoke with my co-worker and I got it and thought I would share the knowledge with you when the info was given to me it had been confirmed by direct sources to the updates ,so this will be the most accurate released info to date I received the Incredible update a couple of weeks ago so I knew it was coming soon but consider the timeline confirmed By an unofficial but official employee or just wait and see it is your choice, but enjoy the gift your droid will be blessed with.
