It has been rumored that Verizon will be coming out with the iPhone 4G, the Nexus One and more importantly, the HTC Incredible which is set for release on April 29th of this year.Don’t Forget about the HTC Incredible
It’s possible the report of the HTC EVO 4G coming to Verizon is a result of confusion between this smartphone and another that Verizon is expected to release in the near future, the HTC Incredible.
Both HTC models will run Google’s Android OS 2a.1 on large, WVGA touchscreens, but the Incredible’s will be slightly smaller: 3.7 inches. And as discussed earlier, the Verizon device will not offer 4G, but information that has leaked out about it indicates that it will have the 3G standard EV-DO, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a GPS receiver.
And Verizon customers definitely shouldn’t feel left out, as they will also soon have the option to get the Google Nexus One, another Android OS-powered smartphone very similar to the Incredible.
The HTC Incredible has not yet been announced officially by Verizon, it’s expected to make its debut at this year’s CTIA along with a slew of other Android based devices. Verizon Wireless fans are impatiently waiting for this to hit the shelves and that may happen within the coming weeks.
In the video the phone seems very responsive and quick. It still has that ugly back that I hope Verizon ditches in the production model. The specs are almost identical to those found in the Nexus One but this has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, an optical trackball the 1GHZ Snapdragon is underclocked to 768.
