any assistance/insights would be appreciated
My first post here unfortunately is a request for assistance. Before I got my HTC Incredible 2 about 4 months ago I had a Blackberry and was having a very odd problem. About every 6 months my calls would start getting forwarded to someone else's number. The calls got forwarded to a different number each time. I have never requested that call forwarding be activated on my account and I have never programmed it into my phone. The only reason I even found out that my calls were being forwarded was that the people who were getting my calls called me to tell me. I don't know if my calls were also forwarded, at other times, to numbers of people who didn't subsequently tell me about the forwarded calls. In any case, I called Verizon and they tried to tell me that I had mistakenly programmed the call forwarding each time or else it happened because I put the phone in my pocket when it was on and because the phone was pressing on my leg. Sure.... I asked them to completely remove call forwarding from my account so it couldn't be used no matter what and they did remove it only to have the situation reoccur twice after it was supposedly removed.
I was subsequently told that it might be a hardware problem. I then got a HTC Incredible 2. Since I've had this phone I haven't had the call forwarding problem (at least yet) but I'm having a new problem. Sometimes incoming calls go straight to my voice mail even though I have the phone next to me, it is on and I'm in an area which has great connectivity. It is as though the No Answer Transfer feature is being turned on and off as some of my calls come through live and some don't. Other times I get a voice mail but don't get any indication that I have a voice mail for up to 3-4 hours after the voicemail is left. BTW, when the voice mail indication finally displays it also shows the time of the incoming call. Other times I get a call when I'm not near my phone, the caller leaves a voicemail and I get the voice mail indication in a timely manner when I get back to my phone. I have changed my password and talked to Verizon reps many, many times with no resolution for the problem. Has anybody heard of someone experiencing either problem I've described or both? Any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem and how it might be resolved? Any steps I might take to determine what the problem is? FWIW, I got the HTC Incredible 2 at BestBuy. Thanks in advance.

While I don't have a solution, at least I can commiserate. My Incredible has had the same problems from the
day I got it which was close to two years ago. I don't know that anyone has a solution. I use both Hotmail and
Gmail. What I did was to set up Google voicemail in place of the Verizon e-mail. I get a voice to text message on my
g-mail and it also scrolls across the top of the screen on the Incredible.
I never turn off my phone and I have call waiting . I put a message on my voicemail informing a caller that if his
call has gone to voicemail most likely I am available but the call automatically got diverted, so he should leave a
message and I'll probably be able to call him right back. I suspect the problem is more with Verizon than the phone
itself.
I also experience a ten to twenty minute delay for e-mails to arrive at my phone. I haven't solved that problem either.
