OG Droid Incredible Will Soon Receive Gingerbread Update 2.3.4

It looks like HTC has confirmed not only that the OG Droid Incredible will get Gingerbread, but it will get the newest version, 2.3.4, and it will happen pretty soon. Support documents have already been arriving on Verizon website, and the update is supposedly finished, so it should be happening with the next couple of days at the latest. There is good word that the phone is extra fast and stable with the newest version of Gingerbread, which is unsurprising, but welcome news. Let us know in this thread when you start seeing your update.

Hmmmmm.......
Kinda funny it's 6:00 PM EDT and no one has posted anywhere that they have received the update...

Supposedly and should are the key words. Until I see an official push date start , like on my Tab, or I get a notification I'm not going to bother to check.

It could also be that the majority of users have rooted and therefore don't receive the OTA notification.

2.3.4 isn't the latest. MIUI's providing 2.3.5, and I think Nils is too; I'd imagine there are others..

Any news to when this is rolling out???
Cant believe we've had this phone for over a yr already
Why do ppl call our phones, "Dinc?" Makes it sound like a puny crappy phone or a sound effect when you flick something
You have Android now. Stop whining and complaining that iphone was easy/better... why the hell did you switch for?
If youre going to change phones, be sure you're able to accept "CHANGE" and yes thats a change in how things are done. Its plain and simple
Btw, have a nifty day! (^_^)
Now... wheres my beer???

Apparently not b4 the Bionic hits the street in a few weeks and I upgrade to 4G. Looks like my poor little DInc may never get to taste the Gingerbread b4 being put out to pasture...

Remember folks with Big Red the word soon can mean "never"! I was told by Big Red in 2002 that FIOS would be here by 2005. In 2006 I was told it would be here "soon". Still not here. LOL So take what Big Red says with a grain of salt.

Any fixes for 2.3.4 ditching all of my photos and videos after the update? I had 1300 pics and now they're gone. Thanks for the update, HTC.
