Incredible Won't Turn On / Charge - Need Data

I have an Incredible, stock / non-rooted. Yesterday, the phone simply turned off w/ about 33% battery life. I removed the battery and eventually the phone turned back on for several hours before turning off again. Now, the phone will not accept a charge or turn on. I tried another battery and charger to no avil. The phone unfortunately has some data that was not stored on the sd card that I really need. Any suggestions or am I out of luck.

Is there another battery that you can try?

Yes, my wife has the same phone; I tried her battery and charger with no luck.

The only other thing you could do is to try to clean the battery contacts on the phone and see if the phone will power up. When you plug in the phone to the charger you aren't getting any LED at all?

Correct, zero led light when plugged in the charger (have tired two different ones). I have cleaned the contacts as best as possible as well. I have a feeling I am out of options.

Unfortunately it sounds like a bad hardware failure. At this point you could continue to mess with it to attempt to get it to power on so you can recover the data.

For anyone with this same problem, try this... it worked for me.

Disconnect phone from charger.
Remove battery.
Connect charger to phone.
Insert battery.
LED should now come on.
