Default action not sticking even when checked

Ok you know how when you have more than one app that can perform a function and you get the make this the default action box, and then it stops asking you? Well mine does not seem to be working any more and all my previous selections are no longer active. For example, I get replies to my posts via email and there's the link when I hit it I get the action box asking which browser to open the link. I select make this the default and pick one, but I still have to do it the next time. It not just browser selection it's all of my selections. ie screen lock for kidmode, sms app, browser for anything. I haven't been able to determine if there is one place I could look and see all of the default selections I've made or if they are stored individually within each app, but regardless they all seem to be missing, damaged, or broken, because I'm having to choose each time.

You mention Kid Mode.
I've noticed that AFTER using Kid Mode all my defaults seem to go away until the next power up, then they stick until the next time I use Kid Mode. It has been that way for the last few updates, I've emailed the developer and they state they are still working on it. For some reason the Kid Mode "Z" lock doesn't like my Inc but my daughter uses it enough for me to put up with the annoyance.
I also noticed the last Flash update caused all kinds of problems with Kid Mode/my Inc so I uninstalled the update and it made things much more pleasant for both Madelyn and myself

Yeah, those little girls. Mine sure uses it more than my boy but they both use it, so if there is an issue with it I'm probably suffering from it. Thanks for your response, and my apologies for taking so long to respond.
