You can transfer your music or photos from your microsd to your internal storage if you want. Do this by using the app Astro. You will need to open Astro once installed--Make sure your card is mounted-- It should automatically take you to your sd card folder. From here find the folder your music/photos is/are in, open it, and hit the multi button at the top. Now you will need to hit the menu button and "select all". Next hit edit then copy. Once you copy the files you need to open the internal memory folder where the preloaded music/photos is/are located. This folder is named emmc, I believe. To get to it, at the top of the app is an icon with an up arrow. You want to touch that until the only thing left in the address bar is / this is where you will find folder emmc. Open it and paste files in corresponding folder. You can back out of the app and it will still transfer the files.
If anyone knows of an easier way to transfer files from microsd to internal memory please let me know!

Wouldn't it be easier to mount your phone as a HD and do it that way?

You are right. That wouldn't work for pics that are on the card already though.

Why wouldn't that work? Doesn't this work just like inserting a USB thumbdrive, etc. and show you all the folders on the card installed? Just trying to understand as I'm new to this type of phone. I was thinking when I "mounted" the phone I was seeing both the card and the internal memory... I know I saw pictures from my BB (from the old phone) and the new phone as well as all the music and files from the "old phone"... Sorry for the question - just trying to understand how this phone works with internal / external memory so I don't end up losing something "I thought" was being handled in a different manner...

You know what, now I feel kind of lame. That's almost common sense. I can't believe I didn't realize that. I misunderstood, I thought you meant pictures from the computer to SD. Now I realize you meant plug in and transfer from sd to phone.

Don't feel bad, you're probably guilty of doing things like me and overthinking the hell out of things.
