WIFI Disconnecting after phone sits HELP!

Ok here's the situation:

-WIFI sleep policy turned off
-Connecting to both home and work networks
-Power saving mode off

Just recently I have noticed that after I leave my phone sit with the screen off (usually happens within 10 minutes) WIFI will disconnect and switch to 3G. When I turn the phone back on WIFI wont connect even though im in visual distance from the router. I have to turn WIFI off and back on for it to re-connect. Exact same thing happens at home and work.

Phone setup:
-Rooted
-MIUI 0.12.31.0 installed
-Baseband/Radio: 2.15.00.07.28
-Kernel: 2.6.32.17-cyanogenmodkoush@Koushik-OSX86 #27

I should note that the phone ran great the first couple weeks up until these past 4 days that this happened. The only thing I can think of doing to the phone recently is wiping dalvik cache through the recovery screen. Would that have caused my problems? Are there any other settings I can try?

Well I decided to do a restore from a backup I made before all this started happening. Seems to be running good now...no disconnects after it sits anymore.
If I find out the root cause I'll report back here. I'm sure there are others with problems like this.
