OK...this is really weird. I have Vista 64. I downloaded and installed HTC Sync, for the Incredible. The driver is also installed. I do not see the Sync program in the task bar. The phone can not find Sync on my computer after searching. I can see the folder in windows explorer, however if I go to Start-Programs-HTC-....it says (empty). I installed when all programs and processes were closed, including anti-virus.
I've installed and uninstalled five times.

Is there a particular reason you need HTC Sync? What are you trying to accomplish? I've not used sync since I have a mac.
I'd like it to sync with MS Outlook. Actually I've worked around the problem, temporarily, by syncing my Outlook calendar with Google calendar. I also exported my contacts from Outlook to Google contacts, but this won't sync like calendar. So, if I could get the sync to work I would use that because I add new contacts frequently. I need Outlook for work.....
Take a look at gSyncit. Its a paid program but VERY worth it. I use it to connect the Incredible, one computer on Outlook 2007, another on Outlook 2010, a MacBook Pro and an iPod Touch. And the best thing, I don't have to hook the phone to the computer. Its done by the wireless net. Friggin' awesome!
I think you might like this. Keeps everything you have connected realtime.
Do the colors in outlook appear the same on the phone? How about free, busy, tentative?
