how to change a favorite (the name). I have more than one phone number many

How do I change a favorite name. I have more than one phone number for many (cell, home, work). So I need the favorite to read "Jim Work" or "Jim Cell" Thanks!

I think you would actually have to change the contacts name if I am understanding you. You could make more than one contact for the same person, just separate the link which will probably occur. For example, First name: Jim Last name: work

I expect that would work... I was hoping I could set each number without splitting the contact - like my treo 755p, like the iphone and every other smart phone I ever had... Oh well! maybe the incredible is a bit different... Boy, instructions sure are lacking for this phone....

Yeah, that is a people WIDGET so it is touch and go. There will be apps to do things you like, but it will take a little time.

We are talking about the same thing right? You could give separate names for each contacts individual numbers within the same contact entry?

Actually, that being said, if you just want a widget to editable info you might do a search in the very large market for contacts. I am sure there are many customizable ones out there.

Long pressing, I thought gave you all call options, but only the primary along with text and email

this is probably not what you want...but when i add favorites to someone that has more than one number that i call on a regular basis, then when i add that contact,i don't add a specific number, but more of a shortcut to that contact name. Then when i select it, i can select which phone numbers to dial. probably defeats the purpose, but that's how i do it.

on a side note..has anyone experience sometimes when i click on that favorites to dial, the screen closes and i can't stop the call? this happens to me once in a while or a specific scenario. not sure yet tho. basically the "end" button won't show up. it's like as if i had the phone up in my face (which disables the touchscreen). i end up calling the person by mistake and not stop it. kind'a annoying.
