Streaming music via Bluetooth and sending txt msgs.

I use the IHeartRadio app to stream radio via bluetooth headset. When I try to txt while I am streaming 3G connection cuts out and I momentarily lose connection and the radio cuts out. I can perform all other tasks using 3G such as web browsing among other things. Am I missing something here? I mean txt msgs are sent via normal network right? and not 3G....anyone else experience this problem with any other apps or similar situations??

You're correct, text messages are not sent via 3G so the connection issue may be due to the switch from 3g to 1x and back to 3g again.

What ROM are you running? If it's an AOSP, there may be a new fix that just came out.

Completely stock Incredible.....using cubed music player if that helps any.

Digging this one up again.....why is it that there is a switch from 3G to 1X and back again when a txt is sent?? I was just chatting with a friend who has an original Droid running stock 2.2 and his phone does not switch. He was streaming Pandora as well when we did the test and his was fine.

If his does not, that is the first one I've heard of on Verizon that does not.
What used to drive me up the wall was when I was downloading a file and would get a text on my Omnia and the file would end up being corrupted or I'd be sending an email with attachments and it would show as sent but didn't send if I got a text during it
Were they streaming Wifi? That doesn't switch or change

I know it's weird....he wasn't streaming wifi either. Just one of those quirks you learn to live with i guess lol.

If I'm streaming pandora I'll get a notification then the volume turns back up for the music...I had no idea that when you sent a text it turned 3g off like that tho
