    Phone Contacts - Deletion

    Hey folks,

I'm in the process of pruning my Google contacts so that everything is clean when it is synced with my Incredible. Call it OCD but it annoys me that when I edit a contact within People, it asks me if I want to edit Google or Phone contact.

I've tried searching on this forum and other forums for a way to delete all Phone contacts. Is it even possible? Is it too much to ask that all I want to see are my Google contacts?

    Thanks in advance,
    Marc

go to your people (contacts) -> menu -> delete -> menu -> select all and then delete.

If you want to delete them from just the phone (maybe you have double contacts etc) then you would want to do phone contacts. Google delete would wipe out your google contacts making it really a fresh start.

and...if you just delete your current phone contacts, your google contacts will sync back up again leaving you with only your google contacts.

Hopefully. You can make sure you syncing is setup correctly in settings. Just go to Menu -> accounts & Sync -> google and make sure you have contacts checked. Also, restarting or even pulling the battery can work wonders. Could be a google thing though so no need to panic :-)

So I waited all night and this morning...did a lil search and I had to clear the cache for Contact Storage. After doing so, sync starting running. I am now a happy owner with all Google contacts and no Phone contacts Thanks for all your help!
