Screen goes blank on startup.

Ok so my Incredible's screen will sometimes go blank after starting up. I can see the screen lock slider, but as soon as i go to the main screen the whole thing goes blank. I can see the status bar, but nothing else. When I tilt it to the left or right into landscape mode i can see about 25% of the screen. Has anyone ever had this issue?

Using LauncherPro. Never had an issue like this prior to updating to Froyo.

Have you tried running this without Launcher Pro? I don't think it will be associated with it, but seems like the natural place to start. Also, try resetting fresh and see what happens. Those would me the two first steps I would recommend.

Interesting this just happened to me for the first time about an hour ago following a reboot but i blamed in on the new rom i just flashed. Hasnt happened again though. I am rooted, running shadowROM and also use launcher pro..

Hmmm, the Launcher Pro theory is starting to get a little higher with me. Wonder if it isn't playing nice with 2.2. A good possibility.

My screen mysteriously goes blank occasionally. And it is slow to change orientation. Thinking Launcher Pro issues also.

yea, I def did a hard reset after updating to froyo. was having a lot of lag issues (including the screen problem) with the OS and what I had installed. That was all fixed upon reset. Until recently. It only happens on startup and I normally just hold the search button down and it will fix the screen, but that seems to be the only way to fix it. I was more or less just reaching out to make sure this isnt a hardware issue... Would hate to have to swap my AMOLED for a TFT screen....

Well I switched to adw and the screen hasn't gone blank again BUT....i am still getting random reboots and sometimes the phone won't wake up. Any one else?
I wasn't having any problems like this until I flashed from Skyraider 2.5.2 to CM6 and Shadow ROM....I'M sad...
