Having trouble with Bluetooth in car
I'm having trouble with my car's (2010 Audi) and the Inc's. bluetooth................when I first enter the car, most of the time the phone will connect, and then within minutes, the bluetooth connection drops, and then I can not get it to reconnect, or even find each other! I've tried deleting the set up in my car, and unpairing the Inc., but I'm getting frustrated, and to make things worse, in California you must use bluetooth, or risk a hefty fine.....Please help I know there must be a setting somewhere that not right.
Thanks in advance

Make sure you got the Device discoverable. Try it again. If you can get it to pair and it doesn't stay connected my guess is the Incredible is not compatible with your car.

Similar problems with 2010 Ford Focus equipped with Sync. My droid would not connect nor will my new incredible. I believe they are simply incompatible with Sync.

It works fine on my BMW 328i. The first day or so the address book did not sync to the car, but once I actually received a call, suddenly the address book showed up on the iDrive. Curious.
The only flaw I see now is that the signal strength meter on the car's dashboard does not update while the phone is in "sleep" mode. If I get an incoming text or hit the wake button on the phone, it instantly updates the dashboard display.

@The Big V - What year is your BMW? I just got a 07 328i with iDrive and want to get an Incredible, but was told by BMW that ONLY the Moto Droid syncs with iDrive. Just wondering if we have a similar setup so I know which phone to get.
Thanks.

Mine's a 2008. There is no difference in iDrive from '07. It will just work. The iDrive works with any bluetooth phone with OBEX, including my old Moto KRZR.

Nice. Appreciate the help. I'll give it a shot and always deal with a headset if necessary.

It works on my 2004 BMW; however, not all contacts show up in the idrive.

I'm having a similar problem, but I can reconnect to the car stereo (2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid) by turning the bluetooth radio (and/or the phone) off and back on again. For me the problem is triggered by WiFi changing status which happens anytime I pull into or out of my garage and thus disconnect or connect to the WiFi in my house.
Unfortunately the only workaround I've found so far is to disable WiFi before getting in the car.
Is it possible you're having the same problem?

I never have this issue with wifi enabled. I usually leave wifi off since it eats the battery, but many times I forget to turn it off until I'm out and about after playing at home with it.
