Incredible and Motorola IHF-1000 bluetooth problem
My wife and I each have the Incredibles and Moto IHF-1000 bluetooth units in our cars. The problem is... when the Incredible goes to sleep and a call comes into the car you can answer but there is no audio. If the Incredible is awake there is no problem at all. Anybody have any easy solutions? Thanks

UPDATE... After doing much reading I am starting to think that the Incredible Blue Tooth is the problem. Every phone I have used on my Motorola Hands Free unit worked perfect.
There are hundreds of comments out there about the HTC bluetooth problems. So... what to do. I like the phone but wish there was a fix for the problem. Any comments out there?
Also I dont think it has anything to do with the phone sleeping or not now after much testing.

Sorry to respond without an answer to your question, but I can sympathize with your bluetooth troubles. I recently bought an Altec Lansing Backbeat 903, and it drops the bluetooth connection with my Dinc often while I'm driving, but oddly only while the car is in motion. I'm beginning to wonder if something is kicking the bluetooth radio on and off when my 2g/3g status changes as it often does on the drive between my home and my work.

I can sympathize will all of the above. I have a brand new HTC Incredible and can't get it to "talk" to my bluetooth in my car. I just got rid of my iphone and it had NO PROBLEMs with the bluetooth connection. I've probably tried connecting my new phone 25 times and I've checked to make sure I was doing it correctly countless times. Not sure what to do. Anyone have this issue?

For those with the Bluetooth problems, are y'all on 2.1 or 2.2 (Froyo). If you aren't on Froyo, hold tight, Bluetooth was worked over extensively in 2.2.

I am the original poster and I'm running 2.1 still. I can connect to the motorola hf in the car but when I answer a call dead audio both ways. So hoping 2.2 will fix this. Wife and I love the new Incredibles. Always had motos. First HTC.

I really think the update will fix your bluetooth issues as the bluetooth progrsmming has been completely revised in the new version. Just hang tight. If you don't want to wait, you can root and download the new version ahead of time. I am running a variation now and it is excellent.

Well got the 2.2 update on both phones and still the same problem. When I answer with the button on the IHF1000 car kit I swear I can hear the beginning of call ended. And yes I am hitting the right button. So 2.2 brings no joy here for that problem.

UPDATE!!! Just called HTC tech support and that guy never even heard of the Motorola IHF-1000 bluetooth car kit. He put me on hold and talked to a "tech specialist" and that guy said call motorola there may be a incompatablity problem. Geezus. I freekin can't believe these guys. I asked him if they ever got on the forums and read what was going on and he said that is only for self help. I need a drink.
